Capt. Vikram Batra

  The story of Shershah  Batra was born on 9 September 1974, in a small town in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. He was the third child of Girdhari Lal Batra, a government school principal, and Kamal Kanta Batra, a school teacher. He was the elder of twin sons, and was born fourteen minutes before his brother, named Vishal. The twins were nicknamed: 'Luv' (Vikram) and 'Kush' (Vishal), after the twin sons of the Hindu deity Rama, by their mother as she was a staunch devotee of Rama. He had two sisters: Seema and Nutan (also called Neetu).  He received his primary education from his mother, who herself was a teacher.  He then attended the D.A.V. Public School in Palampur, where he studied up to  middle standard .   He received his  senior secondary education  at  Central School , Palampur.     The   Indian Army   is the   land-based branch   and the largest component of the   Indian Armed Forces .   What is National Park ? National parks are areas that aim to protect the natural environment. They are also involved in public recreation and enjoyment activities. In a national park, the landscapes and its flora and fauna are present in their natural state. India is rich in biodiversity. It comprises about 7.6% mammals, 6.2% reptiles, 12.6% birds, and 6.0% flowering plant species under the Indomalayan ecozone. Deccan Plateaus : The Deccan Plateau is a large plateau in western and southern India. It rises to 100 metres (330 ft) in the north, and to more than 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) in the south, forming a raised triangle within the south-pointing triangle of the Indian coastline. It extends over eight Indian states and encompasses a wide range of habitats, covering significant parts of Telangana, Maharashtra,  Karnataka ,  Andhra Pradesh , Tamil Nadu . The plateau is located between two mountain ranges, the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats, each of which rises from its respective nearby coastal plain, and almost converge at the southern tip of India. It is separated from the Gangetic plain to the north by the Satpura and Vindhya Ranges, which form its northern boundary.   Baba Kanshi Ram : Pahari Gandhi Baba Kanshi Ram was an Indian Poet and a freedom fighter , he was an great leader from Himachal Pradesh . He lead the people of Himachal to the freedom . Popularly he was know for his pledge of wearing black clothes till Independence of country India . This Pledge was taken by him after the death of Bhagat Singh , Rajguru & Sukhdev .   He died on 15 October 1943 . He was also associated with Indian National Congress .  He was given the title of Bulbul - e - Pahad by Sarojini Naidu .  He got arrested 11 times and written 500 poems against British Raj
